Dos Lunas
Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico
This vacation residence in Rancho Avándaro features both pedestrian and vehicular access directly from the street. The opposite side offers an uninterrupted view of the golf course.
The volumetry is defined by two elongated bodies with gabled roofs that culminate in a covered outdoor social terrace opening onto the garden at ground level and framing the frontal view of the course.
The program is distributed over two levels. The social areas are located on the ground floor, establishing a direct connection with the golf course. One bedroom is situated on the ground floor facing the street, while the upper level houses the master bedroom and two secondary bedrooms with lofts and single beds, taking advantage of the sloped roof heights to increase accommodation capacity.
The house employs neutral materials rich in texture, providing unique constructive and aesthetic qualities: gray brick for the exterior walls, wooden beams and lofts, exposed steel in the structure, and black aluminum window frames.
The landscape design was executed with care, adding texture and movement to the surroundings.
The contemporary character of the design, with Scandinavian influences, is reflected in its clean lines, sloped roofs, honest materials, and warm, inviting atmosphere. The house combines spatial efficiency, a sense of openness, and a fluid integration with its natural views.
