Hotel Avándaro
Restaurant José

José is the restaurant at Hotel Avándaro, conceived as a space that blends natural and contemporary elements to offer a warm, inviting experience. It stands out for reinterpreting the traditional materiality of red brick and wooden beam ceilings characteristic of the original project, combined with a modern interior design. The interior palette features neutral tones complemented by blue and gray textiles and honey-toned leather seating, all carefully selected for the space.

The design emphasizes a connection with nature through views of the golf course and interior greenery. Two large planters with trees over four meters tall were integrated at the center of the restaurant as a principal design element. Above, a skylight with a wooden lattice filters natural light, casting subtle shadows throughout the space. The floor is treated with acid-washed concrete, giving it a warm, rust-like tone that complements the overall palette.

A wrought-iron structure with shelves functions as a dividing wall, discreetly allowing access to the bathrooms on one side while defining the main dining area on the other. It becomes a focal element, with over 50 handcrafted clay pieces and greenery displayed on its shelves. A linear bench with a backrest runs beneath this structure along the length of the space, ending at a tall brick wall.

On the opposite side, black-framed windows open modularly onto the terrace, reinforcing continuity with the surrounding landscape.
