Casa Cuatro Soles

Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico

This project emerges from a program designed to meet the needs of a three-generation family. From the entrance to the private area, a hallway with wooden floors and ceilings leads to a family room that functions as a central hub. Around it, the bedrooms are distributed across two levels as independent units, each with an integrated bathroom and walk-in closet.

A wooden staircase with a steel lattice separates the private area from the social one. In the second volume, arranged transversely, the living room, dining room, and kitchen are located. Their double-height, gabled roofs extend toward a terrace conceived as a natural extension of the interior, integrating an outdoor lounge and a grill area oriented toward the pool, which sits half a level below the main construction to adapt to the site’s slope.

A staircase designed with a continuous bench forms the base of the terrace and connects to the pool area, while a landscaped path serves as a secondary access, providing greater comfort for the older family members.

Casa Cuatro Soles is conceived as an intergenerational retreat that balances togetherness and privacy. Its architectural language combines the warmth of wood with the sobriety of gray brick and clay roof tiles, while sustainability systems reinforce both its aesthetic and functional identity.
